Dr. Elgouhari attended medical school in Egypt, then, upon moving to the United States, had affiliations with hospitals at Long Island College Hospital, Wayne State University, Texas Tech University, the University of New Mexico, the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, and the Cleveland Clinic. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine. Dr. Elgouhari has been extremely invested in teaching, scholarship, and service in academic pursuits while at Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota. He was promoted to Clinical Professor of Medicine in 2017. Dr. Elgouhari has extensive experience conducting research and has authored and contributed to more than 15 research articles in Hepatology and infectious disease.
Dr. Ahmad is trained in Internal Medicine from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Odessa, Texas. He finished his residency training in 2004 and then joined a private practice in Yakima, WA. He earned his medical degree from Sri Krishna Medical College, in Muzaffarpur, India. Dr. Ahmad also has a post graduate degree in General Surgery. He moved to DFW in 2013 and since then is a part of Mercy Medical Clinic. Dr Ahmad also works at Texoma Hospital in Denison as a hospitalist. He has admitting privileges in Lake Pointe Hospital in Rockwall. Dr. Ahmad has extensive experience in managing chronic diseases like Diabetes, Hypertension, hyperlipidemia and COPD.
